SunPrint Sponsored Steven Miller Earns SKUSA Winter Series Title

Miller adds another Junior Championship to his resume

February 17, 2023 – Another weekend and more championship honors for Steven Miller. After earning the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals title in KA100 Junior this past November and becoming the Sunshine State Karting Championship KA100 Champion in December, the Chad Dokken Racing (CDR) driver continued his winning ways earning the SKUSA Winter Series Championship in the KA100 Junior class and Vice Championship honors in the X30 Junior class.

Saturday would see Steven Miller chalk up his first win of the weekend after a fifth-place finish in the KA100 Junior prefinal provided the motivation needed to drive to the front of the field in the main event. With a lap time that wasn’t even in the top-five lap times of the race, Miller methodically worked his way to the front to take a commanding win by more than two seconds.

Looking to double up on victories in his first two main events of the weekend, Miller started on the outside of the front row in the second position for the X30 Junior final. Showing the speed of his CDR-prepped machine, Miller scored the fastest lap of the race en route to the second step on the podium, missing the win by a scant .349.

Returning to the track on Sunday, Miller earned his third podium finish in the past two days once again standing on the second step of the podium in the KA100 Junior class. Courtesy of his win on Saturday and podium result from Sunday, Miller secured the SKUSA Winter Series KA100 Junior Championship, his first championship of the 2023 season.

Looking to make it four for four in podium finishes, Miller did just that when the checkered flag flew on the final race of the weekend for the Junior drivers as he once again found his way to the podium block with another second-place result.

“It was a great way to end the series and start the 2023 season,” expressed Miller. “I feel like with the SuperNationals win last year, two championships in the past three months, and four podium results this weekend that I am the Junior driver to beat this season. I can’t wait to take my podium streak to the Florida Winter Tour next weekend.”

With another championship to his credit, Steven Miller received an additional $12,000 sponsorship check from his long-time supporter, SunPrint.

Miller continued, “I can’t thank SunPrint enough for the help and support over the past seasons of racing. With them on board, we have together earned multiple race wins and championships including winning the biggest race in the world, the SKUSA SuperNationals. Thank you!”

The next event for Steven Miller is this coming weekend at the Piquet Entertainment & Race Park in Loxahatchee, Florida for the second round of the ROK Cup USA Florida Winter Tour. Steven currently leads the VLR Junior class championship and sits second in the ROK Junior title chase after the first round in St. Petersburg, Florida.
